Nantes 23rd. Sept. 1779
Sir

I take the Liberty of troubling you with a second Letter, and am very sorry that I was not as explicit in my former as I should have been, (or as you desire’d), but my reason for that was I unfortunately destroy’d the Paper which had the Account of the Drawers and Numbers of them Bills. I’m at present to inforn you of my happily receiving the second of the setts of those Bills by the late Arrivals at L’Orient, and those Bills are endors’d to Messrs. Penet, Da Costa Freres & Co or their Order, which hope on being presented you’ll agreeably pass for acceptance. Inform’d you in my former Letter of their being endorsed to me, the first set were, but in Case of any Misfortune should happen to me, my Friends have endorsed the seconds of the setts to the above mention’d Gentlemen to appropriate to their Order, in Case I should not be at Nantes.
