From William Caslon (unpublished)
London April 2. 1788.
Dear Sir

I duly received your favour and I shall Ship the whole in about a Fortnight. I think myself much obliged by this mark of Friendship. It is a pleasing Proof that You have not forgot the Name of Caslon. You will do me all the Service in your power with the Printers You know, desire them either to remit with the Order, or to order a Merchant to pay me, having lost a great deal of Money and my Bills not coming high. I do not Ship to America or any other Place, on Credit. I hope my Friend W. T. Franklin is well. I beg to him my best respects. I saw the Governor a few Days since and he is quite well. All my Family are well thank God. I have two Children 1 Male and 1 Female so I hope the Name will not drop. I remain with all our respect Dear Sir Your obedient humble servant.

Wm. Caslon
