Hennet, François-Auguste-Pompée (1728-1792)

Provost of the Maubeuge merchants.

Son-in-law of the owner and director of an arms manufactory at Maubeuge. Attempted to negotiate with Franklin to supply arms to the Americans. Elected as deputy for the tiers état to the Etats généraux (1789).

Remained faithful to the King throughout the French Revolution. Signed the protest of the minority (1791).
