Dacier, Bon-Joseph (1742-1833)

French man of letters.

Member (c. 1772) and perpetual secretary (c. 1778) of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres; wrote a history of the organization. Founded the Société d’agriculture of Seine-et-Oise. Translated various historical works from Greek and edited Frossiart’s Chroniques.
