Doerner, John James

Doerner’s brother, Jean-André, was a partner in a Parisian banking firm which, with several other French firms, formed a consortium seeking to set up business in America. Doernor and another man, bearing recommendations from Franklin, went to Charleston as representatives of the the consortium.
