Grand, Henri-Maximilien (1757-1827)

Banker.

Second son of Ferdinand Grand, Franklin’s neighbor at Passy and America’s banker. Sometimes wrote Franklin on behalf of his father.

Traveled to Turkey and Egypt before traveling to England (1783-84). Became partners with Etienne Delassert (1790).

Created a baron by Louis XVIII (1816). Alternate form of the name: Henry Grand.
