Allamand, François-Louis

Professor of Greek and ethics at the Académie de Lausanne. Author of various works, including Pensées anti-philosophiques (The Hague, 1751), directed against Diderot’s Pensées philosophiques, and l’Anti-Bernier, ou nouveau Dictionnaire de théologie, … (Geneva, 1770). Corresponded with Voltaire and Gibbon.
