Carné de Trécesson, Louis-Marie-Victor (b. 1759)

French army officer.

Midshipman in the French navy (1775). Went to America as a volunteer in La Rouërie’s legion (1778). Aide-de-camp to General du Portail.

Franklin forwarded money from the comte de Chateaugiron to Trécesson (October 1779). Sous-lieutenant in the Armagnac regiment (1779); rose to the rank of captain (1791). Emigrated and fought on behalf of the émigrés; chief of battalion (1815).
