Carburi, Giovanni Baptista, conte (d. 1801)

Physician. Educated in Italy. Professor of medicine at Turin (1750-70). Visited England and Scotland (1764-65). Elected a fellow of the Royal Society (March 1765). Went to France and served as physician to the royal family (1770). Returned to Italy. Professor of physiology at Padua.

Born on the island of Cephalonia.
