Lieutenant du roi at Hôtel royale des Invalides; established a school for veterans’ children. Author of several military memoirs and books on the art of warfare.

Son of Jacques-Joseph and Marie (Couderc) d’Amarzit de Sahuguet. Married Suzanne- Élisabeth, baronne de Beyer; four sons.
