Henshaw, Joshua (1703-1777)

Whig politician.

Served almost continuously as Boston selectman (1751-72). With colleagues, wrote to Franklin to protest the use of ex parte depositions and justify Boston’s response to the Townshend Acts (1769). Member of Governor’s Council (1770-71). Suffered considerable property damage in the Revolutionary War.
