Scott, Thomas (1739-1796)

Pennsylvania lawyer and politician.

Settled in Westmoreland County (1770). Justice of the peace (1773). Pennsylvania Assemblyman (1776, 1791) and member of the Supreme Executive Council (1777). Protonotary of Washington County (1781-89). Delegate to the Pennsylvania convention to ratify the U.S. Constitution (1787). U.S. Congressman (1789-91, 1793-95).
