O’Doüin (O’Dunne), Thadée-Humphrey(?) (b. 1742)

Lieutenant-colonel in the French service.

Served in the French and Indian War and was well-treated by Franklin’s household while a prisoner of war in Philadelphia. Held land in Massachusetts and Georgia, and married an American wife.

May have been the Irishman who served as an officer in an Irish regiment of the French army and who subsequently served with the comte d’Estaing at Savannah.
