Agujari, Lucrezia (1743-1783)

Italian soprano.

The illegitimate daughter of a nobleman, she was popularly known as La Bastardina or La Bastardella.

Debuted in Florence and was highly acclaimed for the extraordinary range of her voice (1764).

Sang in Milan before her London debut in 1774 at the Pantheon in Oxford Street, a concert hall opened in 1772.

Married to Giuseppe Colla, whose compositions she regularly performed.
