Rodman, William (1720-1794)

Pennsylvania landowner and assemblyman.

Settled on family lands near Bristol, Pennsylvania (1744). Justice of the peace (1752-57). Represented Bucks County in Pennsylvania Assembly (1763-76). Served on Pennsylvania Assembly committee of correspondence (1767-68, 1771-31). Quaker; disowned for slaveholding.

Son of John and Mary (Willett) Rodman of Flushing, Long Island, later of Burlington, New Jersey Married Mary Reeve (1744); eight children. Relative by marriage of Isaac Norris, speaker of the Pennsylvania Assembly.
