Huck, Richard (1720-1785)

Physician.

Entered the army (1745). Later served as an army surgeon during the French and Indian War.

Returned to London. Admitted a licentiate of the College of Physicians (1765).

Friend and member of the medical circle of Sir John Pringle and John Fothergill.

Born in Westmoreland. Changed his name to Richard Huck-Saunders upon his marriage to Jane Saunders (1777).
