Croker, Temple Henry (1730?-1790?)

Writer and clergyman.

Graduated from Christ Church, Oxford (B.A. 1750, M.A. 1760). Reader to the Temple Church. Chaplain to the Earl of Hillsborough. Rector at Igtham, Kent (1769-73). Was bankrupt (1773).

Rector of St. John’s, Capisterre, St. Christopher’s in the West Indies. Author of various works including, Experimental Magnetism; or the truth of Mr. Masson’s discoveries… (London, 1761). Edited The Complete Dictionary of Arts and Sciences (London, 1764-66). Constructed a horizontal windmill at St. Christopher’s.
