Arnoux, abbé —

Close friend of the Abbé de Chalut.

The two often wrote Franklin on behalf of the Abbé de Chalut’s brother, Geoffroy Chalut de Vérin. They resided in his home on the Place Vendôme and also had a summer home in Passy, where they formed a friendship with their neighbor Franklin.

They taught John Adams French and were friendly with the entire Adams family.
