Jonathan Williams, Jr. shipped Thomas's textiles aboard La Favorite to Bache & Shee in Philadelphia (1782). Thomas repeatedly sought Franklin’s help to obtain his balance due and a bill of sale from Williams and Bache & Shee.

Tutored the son of the comte Louis de Durfort, France’s Minister Plenipotentiary to Florence.
