Angély, François-Marie d’ (1735-1808)

French army officer.

Page at the court of Anhalt (1751). Served in the Prussian, Danish, and Russian armies (1755-74). Colonel of the Prince of Nassau’s volunteers (1779). Aide-de-camp to Antoine- Charles du Houx, baron de Vioménil, in Rochambeau’s army. Emigrated (1791). Undertook an espionage mission on behalf of the Dutch Stadholder (1793).

Son of Louis and Anne (de Rougé-Rincent) d’Angély. Married Julie, baronne de Bodé in 1759; had issue.
