Colden, David (1733-1784)

Son of Cadwallader Colden.

Although educated as a physician, he never practiced medicine. Served as his father’s secretary and authored a letter defending Franklin’s electrical theories against criticism from Nollet.

A Loyalist during the American Revolution, Colden retired to England following the war and died there.
